The Security Policy Department provides advices on suggestions for the use of road signs, transport facilities and facilities for operating information as a basis for determination of local or temporary regulation of road traffic by the Ministry of Transport in accordance with the § 77 of the law No. 361/2000 Coll., on road traffic. According to the law No. 13/1997 Coll., on land communications, the Security Policy Department prepares advices on proposals for attachment of buildings to motorways or dual carriageways with motorway characteristics (§ 10), on requests for closure of motorways or dual carriageways with motorway characteristics (§ 24), on requests for a special use of a motorway or dual carriageway with motorway characteristics (§ 25), on request for placement of a fixed obstacle on motorways and dual carriageways with motorway characteristics (§ 29), and on request for placing and running of advertising facilities in the protective strips of motorways and dual carriageways with motorway characteristics (§ 31).

In conformity with the § 126 of the building law (No. 50/1976 Coll., on territorial planning and building procedure) the Security Policy Department provides advices on territorial, building and approval procedures for motorways, dual carriageways with motorways characteristics and related constructions as regards the safety and smoothness of the road traffic.
