The Ministry of Informatics of the Czech Republic is a central government body for information and communications technologies, telecommunications and postal services. The Ministry of Informatics co-ordinates the development of e-government in the Czech Republic. Among the priorities of the Ministry of Informatics are equal competition in the telecommunications market, development of e-commerce and support to computer literacy in the Czech Republic. The Ministry represents the Czech Republic in EU bodies and international organisations in issues of electronic communications, postal services and the information society.
